(yo no, jejeje)

I am glad that you got in to see the GI specialist, and it sounds like the visit went well.

Ben is on a mixture of Nutren Jr and Enfacare infant formula, and we are gradually switching him completely over to Nutren Jr.

My mom always said that mangoes were good for slow bowels!

Karen, Nati's been on Isomil (soy) since the NICU. Our GI recommended changing one feeding the first day, see how that goes. Next day change 2 and the day after that change her 3 bolus feeds. She told us to wait till the end to change the night feed, she's on 30mls for 10 hrs at night. To be honest I am nervous. It really is amazing the amount of gas she can produce. What has your experience been with Nutren Jr?

When we first changed formula, we tried a 50/50 mixture of Nutren Jr and infant formula. It didn't go well at all. Ben was extremely gassy, cried in pain, needed to be vented frequently from the G-tube, didn't digest it well, and was constipated for days. So we decreased the proportion of Nutren Jr to about 25%. He tolerated that without any problems. Slowly, we have been increasing the amount of Nutren Jr in his feeds, and he has been tolerating that OK. Right now we are at a 60% proportion of Nutren Jr with 40% infant formula, and have no problems. In a few months, we should be off the infant formula altogether. We have had to be very patient.
I hope the transition is easier for Natalia!
